Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the mobile game Yujian: Sword of Fate (the “Game”), operated by an independent individual developer (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). By installing or playing the Game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play.
1. Your account
- The Game creates a guest account on your device automatically. You may optionally link a Google account so you can recover your progress on another device.
- One Google account can be linked to one game account at a time. Linking a Google account that already belongs to another game account will offer to switch you back to that account instead.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your device and linked Google account secure.
- If you play only as a guest and lose your device, uninstall the Game, or clear its data, your progress cannot be recovered. We strongly recommend linking a Google account.
- You may not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your account to anyone else.
2. Purchases and virtual items
- The Game offers optional in-app purchases, processed by Google Play. Prices are shown before you confirm.
- Virtual currency and items are a limited licence to use them inside the Game. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside the Game.
- All purchases are final once the item is delivered, except where a refund is required by law or granted under Google Play’s refund policy.
- We may change item prices, contents, or availability. We may retire items or features; where an item is withdrawn, we will give reasonable notice in the Game where practical.
- Virtual items are lost if your account is deleted or terminated for breaching these terms, without refund.
3. Rules of conduct
While playing, you agree not to:
- Cheat, use bots, automation, modified clients, emulator scripts, or exploit bugs for advantage;
- Interfere with the Game’s servers, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players or staff;
- Post in chat content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that advertises, spams, or phishes;
- Buy, sell, or trade accounts, characters, or virtual items for real money outside the Game;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Game’s source code or assets, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
4. Chat and player content
In-game chat is a shared, public space. Do not post personal information about yourself or anyone else. We may review, moderate, or remove messages, and may act on abuse reports. You remain responsible for what you post.
5. Suspension and termination
We may warn, suspend, or permanently terminate an account that breaches these terms, that harms other players, or that puts the Game’s integrity or security at risk. Serious cases may be actioned without prior warning. You may stop playing and request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Availability and changes
The Game is an online service. It may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may change, add, or remove features, servers, and content over time. If we decide to permanently shut the Game down, we will give players reasonable advance notice in the Game where we are able to.
7. Ownership
The Game, including its software, artwork, characters, music, and text, is protected by copyright and belongs to the Developer or its licensors. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own entertainment. No other rights are granted.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Game is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of progress. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Game is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will update the effective date above and announce it in the Game before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
